During Mimasuna

ميخائيل نعيمه في الصالون بمنزله في الزلقا (الذي انتقل إلى المْطَيْلبْ وأصبح البيت-المتحف لـ ميخائيل نعيمه الميماسونا)، مع عائلته الميماسونا = ميخائيل، ميّ، سهى، نعيمه، حوالى سنة 1986.

Mimasuna is Mikhail Naimy’s last phase, i.e. his last twenty years, from his age of 80 years until his departure at the age of 99 and 4 months.

In those last 20 years, Mikhail Naimy lived for three years in an apartment he rented and furnished in Jdeideh, a northern suburb of Beirut Lebanon, then he moved with all his home furniture to Zalka, another region close to Jdeideh, a northern suburb of Beirut as well, where he stayed for the rest of the years (17 years) until his last breath on Sunday, February 28, 1988, at 10.20 p.m., in the corner of his living room and on his favorite couch, in Zalka. The entire Zalka home has moved to Mtayleb region in December 2018 and has become the Mikhail Naimy Mimasuna home-museum.

During those last 20 years, 5 books were issued:

His entire works were grouped in one encyclopedia of 9 volumes (1972 – 1975), except for his last published book Flashes that was issued after the completion of the encyclopedia of the entire works.

Also, during those last 20 years, especially the last 17 years in Mikhail Naimy’s Zalka home, visitors from all walks of life and from all continents visited Mikhail Naimy; some of the renowned people who visited Naimy in his Zalka home are:

Intellectuals from varied fields
Politicians from different affiliations
Religious figures from various sects
Ambassadors of different countries, mainly the Russian and the American ones
Neighbors of his Zalka home
And myriad others

Mikhail Naimy was the breadwinner of his Mimasuna family, May was the stay-at-home caretaker and mother, and Suha was the growing child in the embrace of Mikhail Naimy and May Naimy, her family.

خلال الميماسونا:

الميماسونا هي المرحلة الأخيرة من حياة ميخائيل نعيمه، من عمر الثمانين حتى لفظ نفَسه الأخير عن عمر تسعة وتسعين وأربعة أشهر.

قضى نعيمه السنوات الثلاث الأولى من سنواته العشرين الأخيرة في منزله الساحلي من منطقة الجْدَيْدة، شمال بيروت لبنان، في شقّة استأجرها وأثّثها على مرائه ومراء ابنة أخيه ميّ حيث قطن معها ومع ابنتها سهى وألّفوا ثلاثتهم عائلة الميماسونا. ثمّ انتقلَتْ عائلة الميماسونا إلى منطقة الزلقا، القريبة من الجْدَيْدة، حيث قضى نعيمه ما تبقى من عمره الأرضيّ، إلى أن لفظ نفسَه الأخير في 28 شباط\فبراير، 1988، نهار الأحد، الساعة 10 و20 دقيقة مساءً، وكان مستلقياً على كنبته، في زاويته من غرفة الجلوس، التي انتقلَت جميعها إلى البيت المتحف لميخائيل نعيمه الميماسونا في المطيْلبْ.

خلال السنوات العشرين الأخيرة، كان لنعيمه المطبوعات التالية:

يا ابن آدم (1969).
نجوى الغروب (1973).
من وحي المسيح (1974).
أحاديث مع الصحافة (1978).
ومَضات (1981).
كتب غير منشورة:
ترجمة كتاب ’من وحي المسيح‘ إلى الإنكليزيّة My Christ.
ترجمة كتاب ’اليوم الأخير‘ إلى الإنكليزيّة The Last Day.
كتاب غير منتهي بعنوان ’التاج والصولجان‘.
المجموعة الكاملة لأعمال نعيمه بدأت تصدر سنة 1972 حتى اكتملَتْ جميع أعماله المنشورة في المجموعة سنة 1975، ما عدا كتابه الأخير ومَضات الذي نُشر بعد صدور المجموعة.

وخلال تلك السنوات الأخيرة، أمَّ منزل نعيمه اللآلاف من الزوّار من كلّ حدْب وصوْب ومن كلّ الإتجاهات والميول، من بينهم:

مفكّرون وأدباء وباحثون.
سيّاسيَون من خلفيّات متعدّدة.
سفراء دول.
شخصيّات دينيّة من طوائف مختلفة.
جيران نعيمه في الزلقا وأصدقاء له.
زوّار من مختلف شرائح المجتمع.

كان نعيمه مُعيلاً لعائلته الميماسونا، وكانت ميّ الأمّ الحاضنة، وسهى الطفلة التي تنمو في كنف ميخائيل نعيمه، ’جدّها‘، وأمّها ميّ.
